Animals Alive TT rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes abandoned and abused dogs and cats across Trinidad and Tobago. Every day matters.
Animals Alive TT is a registered, no-kill, non-profit organisation. We operate a shelter where we rehabilitate and rehome dogs and cats who face lives of neglect, abandonment, and abuse.
Many of these animals have gone on to find loving, safe homes — both locally and abroad.
Here is exactly what your support means on the ground.
Give a rescued animal their forever home.
Adopt a PetGive your time at the shelter on weekends.
VolunteerOpen your home while an animal awaits adoption.
FosterSponsor an animal for as little as $100 TTD/month.
MentorThey came to us injured, abandoned, and afraid. Some were found on the road. Some were left behind when their owners moved. All of them are now safe — but they need your help to stay that way.
Every meal, every vet visit, every safe night — it all comes from the generosity of people like you.
Follow @animals.alivett for daily updates, rescue stories, and adoption announcements.
Every animal at Animals Alive TT has a story. These are just three of them. Your donation writes the next chapter.
Gandhi Village
He was found wandering through Gandhi Village, carrying an empty cardboard food box — too starved to let it go. Hairless, skeletal, and too weak to resist when we lifted him to safety.
Today, Vince is fully recovered, gloriously fluffy, and living his best life surrounded by his many lady friends at the shelter. We named him Vince because despite everything — he truly is in-Vince-ible.

Ralph Narine Trace · Rescued November 2024
Found roaming near our shelter — severely emaciated, a maggot-infested wound on his shoulder, and bruises on his head. He was less than a year old and had already been through more than any puppy should.
Once Ralphie realised he was safe, his personality exploded — goofy, high-energy, zooming around making friends with everyone. The wounds are gone. The fear is gone. Now he's just waiting for the final chapter: a forever family.
Arrived December 23, 2025
Rover arrived with a severe leg infection that had reached the bone — osteomyelitis. His leg had to be amputated. During treatment, we also discovered he is deaf. When we shared his story online, donations poured in from people who had never met him but couldn't look away.
Today, Rover races around the shelter on three legs, makes friends with everyone, and somehow always ends up at the centre of the fun.
Rover doesn't know he's missing a leg. He doesn't know he's deaf. He only knows that every day is another chance to play, to love, and to be loved.

Start the ProcessThere are many benefits to owning a pet: joy, decreased stress, improved health, increased activity, emotional development for children, and a source of comfort. But these benefits come with a greater duty to provide compassionate and humane care.
Any person who cruelly beats, ill-treats, starves, overdrives, overrides, overloads, abuses, tortures, or otherwise maltreats any animal is liable to a fine of four hundred dollars or imprisonment for two months.
Animal fighting or baiting is also a criminal offence. Courts may order that mistreated animals be destroyed at the offender's expense.
